This blog is an all around page for myself and all of those who are struggling to pay off student loan debt. This is a place for narration, whining, griping, problem solving, finding effective ways to make extra income, and making calls to reform student loans in America. This is a place for those who agree they took out the debt and are looking for solutions to best cope with a decision to advance one's life. This debt was not one that was incurred out of selfishness. We were not trying to collect flat panel tvs and luxury automobiles. We were told to go to college to better our lives and that in the end we could follow our dreams and be happy.
For many of us, we are happy. For many, we are not. But we all have this debt over our shoulders. We are burdened by it. We feel punished for advancing our lives. We know we are responsible for it, just help us to pay for it. Don't charge us 10-11% interest on our loans. Allow us not to be taxed on the full amount paid each year. Change our tax bracket to reflect the impact of monthly student loan payments. Give more options to all to postpone and defer especially for those who took on private loans, not knowing what that really meant.
The title of this blog is 316.23 x 316.23. The goal for me is to earn money on the side. My goal is to earn $316.23, 316.23 times to be fully out of debt. So many of us are stuggling with $100,000 in student loan debt. That is a lot of money. This site is to encourage and empower all of us to set goals and pay off our loans. The other purpose is to highlight the need to change laws to help those honestly paying their loans. The purpose of this site is NOT to encourage THE GOVERNMENT to PAY FOR OUR LOANS. I do not believe someone else is responsible.
